Speech-Language Pathologist | School-Based Evaluations Only

Chattanooga, TN | $65 per hour.

Do you enjoy the diagnostic side of speech-language pathology? LightHouse Therapy is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to conduct evaluations for preschool and school-age children. This position focuses on assessment, eligibility recommendations, and report writing, with no ongoing therapy caseload.

What You’ll Do:

Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and reevaluations for preschool and school-age students.
Select, administer, score, and interpret appropriate standardized assessments.
Assess articulation, phonology, receptive and expressive language, fluency, voice, and social communication as appropriate.
Review educational, developmental, and therapy records, gather parent and teacher input, and complete observations as needed.
Prepare clear, thorough reports that explain findings and their educational impact.
Collaborate with school teams and participate in evaluation and eligibility meetings as needed.
Complete evaluations and documentation within required timelines and applicable Tennessee special education requirements.

What You’ll Bring:

A master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
A current Tennessee Speech-Language Pathologist license.
A current Tennessee Professional School Service Personnel License with the appropriate Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement.
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and report-writing skills.
The ability to independently organize evaluations, manage deadlines, and maintain complete documentation.
A collaborative approach and clear, respectful communication.
Experience with school-based evaluations, preschool assessment, Tennessee special education eligibility procedures, and differential diagnosis is preferred.
